Russian society is now breaking apart at the seams. In response to growing fuel shortages, due to Ukrainian strikes on Crimea, Moscow, and Russian refineries, Russians are now taking matters into their own hands, burning gas stations, stopping fuel trucks on the road, and getting into fights with their fellow citizens. I talk about the latest escalations, and why things could get much, much worse.

Iranian proxies have announced a blockade against Saudi Arabia in the Bab-El Mendeb, while simultaneously conducting an attack on a large oil tanker within the Strait of Hormuz. Largely it appears that the Islamic Republic of Iran is now aiming for multiple different angles (invasion of Iraq/ Kuwait - Houthi Blockade) to try and build any pressure possible to make the US give up on the current war. Meanwhile US forces have been striking missiles forces inside of Iran and bombarding the coastline. The names of 2 US deceased service members has been released, including Private Gonzales and 1st Lt. Freehan of the US Army Air Defenses. Meanwhile Ukrainian forces have conducted another drone attack on Moscow, while damaged ships from the Azov sea attacks pile up in ports all around the area. Air defenses forces have been hit in Crimea, and Ukraine is still working towards a possible replacement for Oleksandr Syrski.

Senior officials are sounding the alarm in Russia, with a chief economist saying "We won't win the competition in this war of attrition. We're under the illusion that everything In Ukraine will collapse. It hasn't, and it won't. Our costs are mounting."

Now he was fired two days after this speech was made public, so let’s get into what he said and what’s looking like major problems headed Russia’s way in the near term.
