On day 1700 of Russia’s full-scale war, I examine Ukraine’s reported strike on the Nikolskoye LPDS oil-pumping facility in Tambov Oblast—a Transneft-Druzhba network hub that regulates crude flows on the Kuibyshev-Unecha pipeline. I also cover reported Ukrainian strikes on a telecommunications operator in occupied Donetsk, a command post, repair facilities, logistics depots, and personnel concentrations.

Russia, meanwhile, reportedly launched 165 drones, including 105 jet-powered Shaheds. Ukraine reported 20 strike locations, damage to energy infrastructure and rail facilities, and power-outage measures across 12 regions as winter approaches. I examine the October 19 attack on Kyiv, where Ukraine reported intercepting 243 of 269 Shahed-type and other drones, yet said ballistic missiles reached the city during the first wave without a warning from partners. With 16 ballistic missiles reportedly fired at Kyiv and the surrounding oblast, the consequences were immediate: strikes at 25 locations, casualties, damage to a metro-area neighborhood and shopping center, and power losses affecting 550,000 families nationwide.

I also track Ukraine’s reported strikes against a radar station in Bryansk, ammunition and UAV sites in occupied territory, and damaged VK and Yandex-linked infrastructure. On the battlefield, Ukraine reported 2,100 Russian casualties—its second-highest daily total—while Russian forces reportedly used small-group infiltration tactics near Hulyaipole. Finally, I look at a Ukrainian heavy-drone evacuation of a wounded soldier, an illustration of how minefields and constant drone surveillance are reshaping frontline survival.

Iran offers new proposal to reopen Strait of Hormuz

TUPAC TRIAL LIVE: Watch Day 5 of the trial of Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who is accused of orchestrating the 1996 drive-by shooting of Tupac Shakur, live from Las Vegas court. Davis is charged with murder with the use of a deadly weapon with intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang.

The trial is expected to last about a month. Prosecutors accuse Davis of ordering the fatal shooting as retaliation for a brawl that broke out on a casino floor shortly before Shakur was killed. Authorities have also pointed to comments Davis made in several media interviews as evidence of his alleged involvement in the killing.

Among the 200 potential witnesses in the case are some notable names, including:
Marion "Suge" Knight - Former Death Row Records CEO who was in the car when Shakur was shot
Former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman

Press secretary Katie Zacharia is expected to be "transitioning out" of her role with the White House.

In a post on X Friday, Zacharia said:

"President Trump is a kind, wonderful, gracious, thoughtful, enthusiastic, and hardworking man. I wish more Americans appreciated him. No one will ever make America great the way he has and continues to.

It was an honor to work for him."

A suspect was killed after a shooting at Silver Rail Elementary in Bend, Oregon, on Thursday, authorities confirmed.

Three children ages 5, 8 and 11 and a teacher were killed in the shooting, police said. Another 7-year-old child and a 54-year-old teacher were wounded and were taken to a hospital in critical condition.

On Friday, the suspect was identified as 16-year-old Griffin J. John II.

Structures off Via Entrada are actively threatened by the advancing flames, according to authorities.
