I walk through the extraordinary October 9–15 sequence that, in my view, raised serious questions about U.S. leverage in the war: Trump’s announced Russian diesel arrangement, the Miami meeting involving Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, reported pressure on Ukraine to halt refinery strikes, and calls for new Ukrainian leadership. I also examine the practical problems surrounding the proposed diesel volumes and the legal restrictions on Russian fuel entering the United States.

I trace the claimed energy ceasefire that Ukraine and Russia said they had not agreed to, continued Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy grid, disputes over warning intelligence, and reported Starlink and Starshield restrictions affecting drones. With senators pushing back and the United States reportedly considering shadow-fleet sanctions relief and a transfer of frozen Russian assets, the strategic question is clear: why was Kyiv facing pressure while Moscow continued its attacks? The answer matters for sanctions enforcement, battlefield leverage, and deterrence well beyond Ukraine.

Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has issued a striking warning about Ukraine’s government, corruption, and the need to develop a mechanism for elections even while the war continues. The arguments themselves deserve serious consideration—but the timing has triggered criticism inside Ukraine. Fedorov released his message just as President Zelensky nominated a permanent replacement for him, after Fedorov reportedly rejected another government role. In this update, I examine what Fedorov actually said, why the election argument is controversial, how Ukrainians and analysts are reacting, and why this move could ultimately damage the political standing of one of Ukraine’s most popular and capable leaders.

Chapters:

2:19 Why the timing looks political
2:41 Fedorov calls for wartime elections
3:33 His strongest argument

5:52 Why I’m unusually critical of him
7:13 Ukrainian analysts react

In this video, Greg and I break down President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's extraordinary interview with Piers Morgan. Faced with difficult questions about Donald Trump, American support, Ukrainian elections, and the future of the war, Zelenskyy demonstrated how to defend his country without creating an unnecessary diplomatic crisis.
I explain why this was about much more than answering uncomfortable questions. Zelenskyy was navigating a confrontation with the American president while refusing to compromise Ukraine's sovereignty, independence, or right to defend itself.
Greg examines the full interview, highlighting Zelenskyy's responses and the deeper implications for Ukraine's relationship with Washington.
00:00 – Zelenskyy's Diplomatic Masterclass
00:56 – How Zelenskyy Handled Questions About Trump
02:25 – Diesel, Intelligence Sharing, and Starlink
05:03 – Trump Calls for Zelenskyy's Removal
06:13 – Zelenskyy's Powerful Answer About Elections
07:18 – Russian Losses and Ukraine's Battlefield Challenges
08:47 – Why Starlink Matters for Ukrainian Air Defense
09:40 – Sabotage of Starlink Infrastructure in Bulgaria
10:39 – Can Ukraine Win Without America?
12:13 – Putin's Negotiator and Washington's Diplomacy
13:08 – Zelenskyy Refuses to Resign or Surrender
14:04 – The Republican Party and the Ukraine Debate
15:05 – The Moral Difference Between Russia's and Ukraine's Strikes
16:38 – Zelenskyy's Most Powerful Message: Ukraine Is Not for Sale
What impressed me most was Zelenskyy's ability to remain diplomatic while delivering an uncompromising message: Ukraine is fighting for its freedom, not negotiating a business transaction.
He made clear that replacing Ukraine's president would not change the fundamental reality of this war. Ukrainians are defending their homes, their children, and their independence.
And perhaps the most important message of the entire interview was this: Ukraine is not for sale.

This situation is changing fast, I don't think it's resolved quite yet

In a shocking move, the popular, but more importantly, highly successful Ukrainian Defense Minister Fedorov was removed from his post yesterday. This prompted pretty significant pushback and today we’re seeing Ukrainians take to the streets to protest this surprising move.
Today we’re joined by Kateryna Lisunova to discuss what happened and what this means.

Kateryna is a journalist at Razom for Ukraine who has the contacts and background to understand what exactly is playing out here.

Ukrainian forces have delivered a major operational blow to Russian plans in the Donbas.

Codenamed Operation Vivaldi, Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade—led by Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky—cleared 75 square kilometres of territory north of Lyman, completely disrupting Vladimir Putin’s northern pincer movement aimed at encircling the fortress cities of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.

In this video From The Newsroom, military expert Philip Ingram breaks down raw combat footage from the assault.

From house-to-house room clearing and dense forest trench combat to drone reconnaissance and frontline casualty evacuation, we take an in-depth look at the tactics, command and control, and logistics that made Operation Vivaldi a tactical game-changer.

Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain nuclear site is suddenly at the center of a major new confrontation. Check out Supremacy WW3 here: https://con.onelink.me/kZW6/eii0bpul President Trump warns Tehran over increased activity at the deeply buried facility near Natanz. New satellite imagery shows a major surge in construction at Pickaxe Mountain, raising questions about what Iran is building underground and whether the U.S. or Israel could eventually strike the site.

Former F-15E Strike Eagle and Thunderbird pilot Max Afterburner breaks down the military problem of attacking a hardened underground nuclear facility, including how the F-15E and 5,000-pound GBU-72 Advanced 5K Penetrator could potentially be used against vulnerable surface infrastructure and tunnel access points. We’ll also look at the B-2 Spirit and GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator—and why Pickaxe Mountain could present an entirely different targeting challenge.

Plus, we cover the latest Iran breaking news, Israel’s warnings about Iran rebuilding its capabilities, and Saudi Arabia shutting down its East-West oil pipeline following drone attacks.

I examine the reported Ukrainian drone strikes on two critical Russian oil-logistics targets: the NZNP Rostovsky oil-products export terminal in Rostov-on-Don and the Transneft-linked pumping and storage site near Prosvet in Samara. The Rostov terminal reportedly handles up to 3.5 million tons of petroleum products annually, while the Samara hub receives, stores, blends, and transports crude from major producing regions. I assess why these targets matter amid reports that Donald Trump sought to lift restrictions on Russian diesel exports and urged Ukraine to stop hitting oil facilities.

I also cover reported strikes on Russian drone infrastructure, command posts, electronic-warfare systems, depots, and a repair base; Ukraine’s 73% reported drone-neutralization rate against a Russian attack involving 160 UAVs; and the devastating guided-bomb attack on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia. Finally, I review battlefield indicators and reported Ukrainian gains east of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk.

03:23 Samara oil hub struck again
05:27 Russian drone bases and military facilities hit
07:00 Data-center strikes and Ukraine’s air defense
08:34 Zaporizhzhia guided-bomb attack

Thank You for Standing With Ukraine
https://ukrainesupportbridge.com/

Elon Musk once challenged Vladimir Putin to single combat—with Ukraine as the stakes. Now he accuses Ukraine's military of violating Starlink's rules to carry out offensive drone strikes. How did a man who helped keep Ukraine connected become the center of a bitter dispute over how Ukraine defends itself?

The distinction Musk's accusation raises is critical: civilian Starlink versus the military Starshield arrangements described by a Ukrainian respondent. That account directly disputes Musk's allegation, citing military whitelisting requirements and the use of Starshield. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the strikes he described targeted Russian forces in occupied Ukrainian territory, not targets inside Russia. I compare Ukraine's internationally recognized 1991 borders with the October 24 Institute for the Study of War control map to explain why that difference matters.

Then we walk through Musk's own statements from 2022 to 2026—his early support for Ukraine, his challenge to Putin, his promise about Starlink terminals, and his latest words about Russian conscripts. We also revisit his dramatic change in public posture toward Donald Trump. SpaceX deserves credit for helping Ukraine. That does not place Musk's latest accusations beyond serious scrutiny.

Ukraine says 26 populated areas have been liberated and brought back under Ukrainian control in an offensive that largely stayed under the radar. At the same time, Vladimir Putin is widening his threats far beyond Ukraine.

In this update, we go directly to the Ukrainian frontline command briefing with President Zelenskyy, examine where Ukraine is reclaiming territory around the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Dnipro directions, and look at Putin’s new warnings involving Japan, NATO in the Pacific, international shipping and Arctic sea routes.

We also hear from Kalashnikov CEO Alan Lushnikov as Russia’s own defense industry openly talks about an “era of great upheavals.”

Ukraine is pushing forward. Putin’s response is more threats. What does that tell us about where this war is heading?

We take a macro look at the pressure points shaping Ukraine’s war: Russia’s apparent focus on electricity transmission, the Dnipro crossings that connect Kyiv and the eastern battlefield, and the defensive stakes from Chernihiv and Sumy to the Slovyansk–Kramatorsk fortress belt. We examine the role of Rivne and Khmelnytskyi nuclear generation, substations feeding Kyiv, and why bridges at Kyiv, Kremenchuk, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia matter for civilian movement and military logistics.

I also assess the fight around Lyman and Dobropillia, including the access routes supporting Slovyansk and Kramatorsk, alongside Russian occupation narratives in Mariupol and Oleshky and concerns around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Finally, I share what Project Constantine has delivered to the 42nd, 67th, and 77th Ukrainian units: pickups, Starlinks, charging stations, reconnaissance drones, night-vision devices, thermal optics, and a Polaris vehicle. The strategic question is whether Ukraine can sustain logistics, power, and battlefield resilience under layered pressure.
