Thank You for Standing With Ukraine
https://ukrainesupportbridge.com/

Trump weakens pressure on Russia, Zelenskyy warns about Starlink restrictions, and Putin makes battlefield claims that don't match independent mapping. Meanwhile, Russia continues attacking Ukraine's energy infrastructure, and the consequences of Washington's decisions are becoming increasingly serious.

Welcome to Season 1, Episode 1 of THE BIG PICTURE, a new weekly geopolitical discussion with Greg Terry and Professor Gerdes. We're connecting the week's biggest developments to examine how events in Ukraine, Russia, Washington, Europe, and the Middle East are influencing one another—and what they could mean for the week ahead.

We examine Trump's controversial Russia sanctions waiver, the deteriorating Trump–Zelenskyy relationship, reports surrounding Starlink restrictions and their impact on Ukrainian defense operations, and Putin's disputed claims about Russian territorial control. We also discuss devastating strikes on Ukraine's power infrastructure, Kirill Dmitriev's growing role in U.S.–Russia contacts, and Europe's resistance to transferring control of frozen Russian assets to Washington.

Beyond Ukraine, we turn to speculation about a possible G20 meeting involving Trump, Putin, and Zelenskyy, the continuing crisis surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, Houthi activity in the Middle East, and the political pressures of America's approaching midterm elections. The central theme is unmistakable: these crises cannot be understood in isolation. Decisions in Washington, Moscow, Kyiv, and the Middle East have consequences that reach far beyond their borders.
