Putin Threatens NATO—Then the Pentagon Does THIS

I examine the reported Pentagon message urging Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia to moderate their public warnings about Russia—and why I believe that risks weakening deterrence on NATO’s eastern flank while Moscow continues its war against Ukraine. The Baltic states’ experience of Soviet occupation makes this more than a rhetorical dispute: it is a test of whether Russia’s neighbors are being asked to mute a threat rather than confront it.

I also break down Ukraine’s air-defense shortage: 24 Patriot interceptors delivered in three months against an estimated need of roughly 350 per month. I look at the Dutch-led Blitzschirm project, threats such as Russia’s Oreshnik missile, European cruise-missile and turbojet production, and Ukraine’s alternative Dnipro crossings. Finally, I track signs of Russia’s normalization and influence campaign, from Sergei Lavrov’s G20 trip and sports reintegration to Novaya Gazeta’s closure and RT’s expanding African media partnerships.
