One week before the midterms, the Federal Election Commission has taken its electronic filing system offline after Reuters reported hacking attempts against the agency. At the United Nations, U.S. Ambassador Mike Waltz and Cuba's foreign minister got into a shouting match on the General Assembly floor during the debate over the Cuba embargo. The FBI also searched the Beverly Hills home of billionaire Stephen Cloobeck, where former Rep. Eric Swalwell had stayed, in the widening investigation into Swalwell. And a Democratic House candidate in North Carolina was served a felony summons at her own campaign rally, part of a strange trend of Democratic candidates and officials with criminal records.
