North Miami mayor exposed as an illegal alien is now facing deportation after federal investigators uncovered a years-long scheme involving a fake identity and fraudulent marriages.
According to court records, the mayor allegedly entered the United States under a false name, ignored a deportation order, and later obtained U.S. citizenship through deceptive means. Authorities say that identity was then used to run for office, win elections, and serve as mayor — all while hiding his true background.
The case unraveled after fingerprint evidence linked him to his original identity, prompting the federal government to move to revoke his citizenship and remove him from the country.
Now, what started as an immigration violation has turned into a major political scandal involving fraud, false identity, and serious questions about how this went undetected for years.
